Joe has been involved in the investment recovery industry for 20 years. He was
the Manager of Investment Recovery for Texas Utilities (TXU) from 1987 to
2003. Joe established TXU's domestic investment recovery program, and was
responsible for directing a work group that identified and inventoried surplus
equipment, materials and supplies, and optimized returns from their sale,
redeployment or other disposition while minimizing exposure to product and
environmental liability. His responsibilities included all personal property
assets associated with nuclear, coal and gas-fired generating plants, and
electric and natural gas transmission and distribution facilities. The efforts
of his organization contributed an average annual $10 million to the
company's bottom line.
Joe has experience with companies offering metal recycling, auctioneering, and
data services. He is a past president of the Investment Recovery Association,
and has been a member for 20 years. He has served a total of 10 years on the
Board of Directors of that association. Joe holds degrees in Electrical
Engineering Technology and Business Administration (Accounting) from the
University of Texas-Arlington.
Joe is a Certified Manager of Investment Recovery (CMIR) and a member of the
Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
